Job Overview: 

As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will join our dynamic accounting team that is rapidly growing. This position offers a clear growth track within our finance department for motivated professionals. The ideal candidate will generate and send customer invoices, statements, and payment reminders while maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Processing: Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments with precision and accuracy
  • Collections Management: Review accounts on a weekly basis to assess aging and pursue collection of funds
  • Deduction Analysis: Research customer deductions and verify their accuracy through thorough investigation
  • Data Management: Update and maintain customer master files with current information
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Research invoice discrepancies (price, quantity, other) with appropriate functional team members
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
  • Month-End Procedures: Meet monthly close deadlines with accurate financial reporting
  • Customer Service: Handle customer collections, record payments, and respond to inquiries promptly
  • Reporting: Generate ad-hoc reports upon request for management and other departments
  • Team Support: Perform other finance-related duties as assigned to support department objectives Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • 3-5+ years of accounts receivable experience
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Positive and energetic attitude with excellent customer service orientation
  • High sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated starter who can work independently and as part of a team
  • Resourceful and curious mind to investigate and resolve financial issues
  • Prior food, beverage sector, or manufacturing experience highly preferred 


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $60 - 70k
