Plant Manager
(Structural Steel Fabrication)

About: 

Seeking a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication to manage a fabrication plant. This leadership role involves overseeing the sourcing, procurement, and production of steel components used in construction, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and timely project delivery.


Plant Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise shop floor operations and coordinate with production teams.
  • Review fabrication drawings and specifications, ensuring adherence to AISC quality control standards.
  • Track project progress, resolve delays, and uphold production timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with AISC and AWS standards through rigorous quality assurance practices.
  • Lead and mentor a team of fitters, welders, and machine operators.
  • Promote a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Proactively address risks like material shortages or procurement issues and implement contingency plans.

Plant Manager Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication.
  • Deep understanding of steel fabrication processes and industry standards (AISC, AWS).
  • Strong skills in supplier negotiations and relationship management.
  • Capable of managing production schedules and effectively communicating with clients and management.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and CNC fabrication equipment.
  • Experience with Tekla PowerFab is major plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

 

Base Salary of $110,000-140,000, negotiable for top talent - along with comprehensive benefits, including relocation assistance, medical, dental, vision 401k, and excellent career advancement opportunities.
