Civil Engineer, P.E.

A well-established civil engineering and design firm in Baton Rouge is seeking a licensed Civil Engineer (P.E.) to lead and manage civil site development projects from concept through construction. Role Overview:

  • Supervise civil design personnel on site layout, grading, utilities, and drainage
  • Produce and review site design drawings including demolition, erosion control, and pavement plans
  • Prepare design calculations, reports, and permit submittals
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies (AHJs) and ensure full compliance with codes and regulations
  • Lead multi-disciplinary collaboration across clients, contractors, and design professionals
  • Oversee QA/QC, cost tracking, safety, and construction progress through project completion
  • Attend project meetings, respond to RFIs, and review submittals
  • Perform site inspections and conduct technical investigations as needed

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of civil engineering experience
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Louisiana (or EIT on track for PE)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong design/documentation skills
  • Familiarity with zoning, permitting, and safety standards
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
