Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer – Job Shop & Process Optimization
Location: Waukesha, WI (On-Site)
Overview:
A growing, engineering-led manufacturer in Waukesha, WI is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer with job shop experience to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and support shop floor operations. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with operators, machinists, and leadership to drive improvements and solve real-time issues.

What You’ll Do:
Develop and document processes for new and existing jobs
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues on the floor
Collaborate with operators, quality, and engineering
Use SolidWorks and SigmaNest for layouts and tool design
Lead improvement projects around cycle times, scrap, and throughput
Support quoting through estimating and feasibility input
Maintain and improve documentation of tools, processes, and specs
Work with purchasing and vendors to spec materials and tooling
Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving efforts
What We’re Looking For:
7+ years in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally in a job shop
Strong hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, and machining
Proficiency in SolidWorks and SigmaNest
Excellent blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
Comfortable solving problems in real-time
Good communicator across functions and levels
Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
