T&E Attorney with experience in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals.
Seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate with 5+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate to work in our Springfield office. The position requires significant client contact and the ability to excel when working independently. Superior client communication, writing, research, computer, and organizational skills are a must.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administration of trusts and estates from inception to completion
- Reviewing and drafting trust and probate administration documents and other related documents
- Drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, deeds, beneficiary designation forms, and other estate planning documents
- Conducting legal research regarding complex procedural and substantive issues related to probate and estate planning
- Building relationships with existing and prospective clients through networking and business development activities
Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+years in estate planning, trust administration, and probate experience
- In good standing with the Massachusetts Bar Association
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
- Advanced research and writing skills, including proficiency with legal research tools.
- Strong academic and employment credentials
- Have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
- Have the ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as in a team environment involving extensive collaboration with other attorneys, paralegals, and office staff
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills
- The ideal candidate should have experience in dealing with high-net-worth clientele
