Company Overview: Our client, a prominent leader in the waste management industry, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of their waste management sites. Job Summary: The Site Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the waste management site, including overseeing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing staff, and maintaining safety standards. This role requires a strong leader with experience in site management, a focus on efficiency, and a commitment to environmental stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a background in waste management, logistics, or a related field, and possess excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations of the waste management site, ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently and according to company standards.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and lead a team of site workers, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, to ensure high levels of productivity and safety.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the site complies with all local, state, and federal regulations related to waste management and environmental protection, including reporting requirements.
  • Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety meetings, and ensure all team members are trained in safe work practices.
  • Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities, coordinating with maintenance teams to ensure everything is in good working order.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the site’s budget, monitoring expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Customer Relations: Work closely with customers and clients, addressing any concerns or issues related to site operations and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Promote and implement best practices in environmental management, including waste reduction, recycling, and resource conservation.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on site operations, safety, compliance, and financial performance to the Operations Manager.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance site operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in site management, logistics, or waste management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of site operations and environmental regulations.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in site management software and tools.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Relevant certifications in waste management or environmental management are preferred.
