Job Description

A reputable civil engineering firm that specializes in land development, site design, and stormwater management. With a collaborative and growth-focused culture, this firm is seeking a Civil Designer with 3+ years of land development experience to support a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and municipal developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare site layout, grading, drainage, and utility plans for land development projects.
  • Develop stormwater management and erosion/sediment control plans in compliance with local and state regulations.
  • Work with project engineers to prepare construction documents, cost estimates, and design calculations.
  • Assist with permitting processes at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surveyors, engineers, and planners.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to produce accurate design drawings.
  • Participate in client meetings and respond to project-related questions and revisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of land development design experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required).
  • Strong understanding of land development processes, grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design.
  • Knowledge of permitting requirements and agency coordination.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
