I am partnered with an Independent Insurance Agency who is looking for their next Commercial Lines Department Manager with 10+ years of experience in commercial insurance and a minimum of 5 years managing a team of account managers, assistants, and CSRs. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with excellent communication and organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to inspire and guide a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Commercial Lines department

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of account managers, assistants, and customer service representatives

  • Develop and implement workflows, service standards, and performance metrics

  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment with a focus on professional development

  • Ensure the highest level of client satisfaction and retention

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with company strategy

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and carrier guidelines

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Commercial Lines insurance

  • 5+ years in a supervisory or management role within a commercial insurance department

  • Deep understanding of commercial insurance products, markets, and workflows

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Proficient in agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Insurance designations (CIC, CPCU, ARM) a plus
