Key Responsibilities
- Prepare complex tax returns including corporations, partnerships, S-corps, trusts, and individuals.
- Manage your own portfolio of clients with minimal supervision.
- Review and mentor staff accountant work; provide guidance and technical support.
- Conduct tax research on technical issues and assist with tax planning opportunities.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information and explain tax matters.
- Ensure accurate, timely completion of returns and compliance with all regulations.
- Assist managers and partners with special projects and firm initiatives.
Qualifications
- CPA license or actively pursuing (required).
- 3-5 years public accounting tax experience.
- Solid technical knowledge across multiple entity types (1040, 1120/1120S, 1065).
- Experience with tax software (CCH Axcess, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong research, communication, and organizational skills.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 – $130,000+ (flexible for the right candidate).
