Project Manager – Commercial Construction

A leading Raleigh/Durham area commercial general contractor is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead key projects from concept to completion. This role offers the opportunity to oversee high-visibility commercial work, collaborate with a skilled internal team, and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of a respected builder.


Role Overview

The Project Manager will take ownership of all aspects of construction management — from budgeting and scheduling to client communication and field coordination. This individual will play a central role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction planning through closeout

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and contracts

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors

  • Proactively identify and resolve project challenges to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery

  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration among all project stakeholders

  • Oversee project documentation, change orders, and reporting


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor

  • Demonstrated success delivering commercial ground-up and renovation projects

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar platforms

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
