Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk – Toronto

Salary Range: $60,000 – $100,000 (commensurate with experience)

A respected and growing Toronto law firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Real Estate Law Clerk to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of complex transactions and support a collaborative, client-focused practice.

About the Role
The successful candidate will assist lawyers with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing matters. You’ll play an integral role in preparing documentation, conducting due diligence, and ensuring smooth transaction closings.

Key Responsibilities
• Draft and review documents related to commercial real estate transactions, including agreements of purchase and sale, financing documents, and leases.
• Conduct and analyze title and off-title searches.
• Liaise with clients, lenders, and other parties to coordinate transaction details.
• Manage closing checklists, prepare closing documentation, and ensure all post-closing steps are completed.
• Maintain organized files and assist with other administrative and legal tasks as required.

Qualifications
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a law clerk in commercial real estate.
• Strong working knowledge of legal software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and client service orientation.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
