Truss Designer – Building Materials (Manitowoc County)

Company Overview: Our client is a leading full-service building materials provider in Manitowoc County, known for its strong reputation, great culture, and steady growth. As their business expands, they are seeking an experienced Truss Designer to join their team and play a key role in supporting both residential and commercial projects.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design wood trusses for roofs and floors using MiTek software

  • Work from blueprints, specifications, and structural drawings to create accurate and efficient truss layouts

  • Collaborate closely with the sales and production teams to ensure precision and timely delivery

  • Apply building code standards and best design practices in all projects

  • Support continuous improvement in design processes and workflow efficiency

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience using MiTek software (required)

  • Proven background in wood truss design (roof and/or floor systems)

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents

  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Team player who enjoys a positive, fast-paced environment
