Job Title: Superintendent – Heavy Civil Construction

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to oversee large-scale roadway and bridge construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of experience managing field operations involving earthwork, concrete, and underground utilities. This position offers a long-term growth opportunity within a stable, employee-owned company known for delivering complex civil infrastructure projects safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all field construction activities for heavy civil projects

  • Manage crews performing grading, excavation, concrete, and utility installations

  • Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain project quality and productivity

  • Oversee scheduling, manpower planning, equipment, and materials

  • Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures on site

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to field teams

  • Monitor progress and resolve field-related issues to keep projects on track

Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Superintendent on heavy civil projects

  • Strong background in earthwork, concrete, and underground utility construction

  • Experience with large roadway and bridge projects required

  • Proven leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors

  • Working knowledge of project schedules, plans, and specifications

  • Strong commitment to safety and quality
