Intro:
We’re hiring a seasoned Superintendent to lead on-site execution for commercial & industrial builds across the Des Moines metro. This role demands hands-on leadership, coordination with multiple trades, and relentless attention to schedule and safety.
Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day field operations and multiple trade crews.
Enforce safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA).
Manage site logistics: manpower planning, material deliveries, layout, equipment.
Read and interpret drawings; verify installation per plans & specs.
Coordinate quality control and punch lists until final turnover.
Communicate daily with PMs, owners, engineers, and subcontractors.
Track productivity, maintain daily logs, and report progress.
Mentor foremen and junior field staff.
Qualifications:
7+ years as a commercial construction superintendent.
Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and meet tight schedules.
Strong knowledge of building systems, sequencing and trade scope.
OSHA 30 preferred; first aid/CPR a plus.
Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills.
