About the Opportunity

A well-established independent insurance agency in Woburn, MA is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager to join their growing team. This position is ideal for someone with 1–2+ years of employee benefits experience who enjoys direct client interaction, service excellence, and managing small to mid-sized group accounts (20+ employees).

You will join a collaborative, client-focused agency known for stability, strong leadership, and long-term professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a book of employee benefits clients (20+ employee groups)

  • Handle daily service needs, renewals, and open enrollments

  • Support producers and clients with plan comparisons, quotes, and onboarding

  • Communicate directly with carriers and clients to ensure smooth policy management

  • Advise clients on available options including level-funded, fully insured, and self-funded plans

  • Maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal teams

Desired Background

  • 1–2+ years of Employee Benefits Account Management experience

  • Experience managing group sizes of 20+ employees

  • Knowledge of major carriers such as Blue Cross, Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts, UnitedHealthcare, Delta Dental, etc.

  • Understanding of Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Ancillary products

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Massachusetts Life & Health License preferred (or ability to obtain)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $60,000 – $90,000 (depending on experience)

  • Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with match, and PTO
