Position: Labor & Employment Attorney
Location: Sacramento, CA

A well-established Sacramento law firm has partnered with GPAC to identify a skilled Labor & Employment Attorney to join their growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of labor and employment matters, supporting clients across various industries while advancing within a collaborative and respected firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle labor and employment matters, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, wrongful termination, and compliance issues

  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings

  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents

  • Advise clients on employment policies, workplace practices, and regulatory compliance

  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies

  • Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to firm-wide initiatives

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • Active California Bar membership

  • 3–5+ years of labor and employment law experience (litigation or counseling)

  • Strong litigation and advocacy skills, including motions practice and depositions

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities

  • Ability to manage a caseload independently within a team-focused environment
