Position: Labor & Employment Attorney
Location: Sacramento, CA
A well-established Sacramento law firm has partnered with GPAC to identify a skilled Labor & Employment Attorney to join their growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of labor and employment matters, supporting clients across various industries while advancing within a collaborative and respected firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle labor and employment matters, including wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, wrongful termination, and compliance issues
Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings
Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
Advise clients on employment policies, workplace practices, and regulatory compliance
Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies
Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions
Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to firm-wide initiatives
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active California Bar membership
3–5+ years of labor and employment law experience (litigation or counseling)
Strong litigation and advocacy skills, including motions practice and depositions
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
Ability to manage a caseload independently within a team-focused environment
