About the Opportunity:
I’m partnering with a respected regional law firm with a strong presence across the Pacific Northwest. The firm is well-regarded for its deep experience in real estate, land use, and environmental matters, and represents a mix of developers, public agencies, and property owners throughout Oregon and Washington.

The firm is actively seeking a Land Use Associate Attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join their growing practice. This is a confidential search being conducted through my legal recruiting team.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with land use permitting, zoning, and administrative law in Oregon and Washington. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys collaborative work, client interaction, and handling complex land use and entitlement issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on land use, zoning, permitting, and entitlement matters in both Oregon and Washington.

  • Represent clients before planning commissions, city councils, hearing examiners, and state land use boards.

  • Draft and negotiate development agreements, zoning code amendments, and related land use documents.

  • Support land use appeals, administrative actions, and related litigation when needed.

  • Collaborate closely with real estate and litigation teams on cross-practice matters.

Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of experience in land use, real estate, or administrative law.

  • Strong working knowledge of land use laws and development processes in Oregon and Washington.

  • Admission to the Oregon and Washington Bar.

  • Strong writing, research, and communication skills.

  • Client-focused mindset and interest in public-facing work.
