Director of Nursing – Long-Term Care | Full-Time | Competitive Compensation & Benefits

About the Opportunity: A respected healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee clinical operations and lead a dedicated care team in a long-term care. This role is ideal for a compassionate, results-driven leader who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and fostering a culture of excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide overall leadership and supervision of all nursing staff within the facility

  • Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations

  • Oversee the hiring, onboarding, development, and retention of nursing staff

  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and ongoing competency of nursing personnel

  • Promote professional conduct, accountability, and a positive clinical culture

  • Maintain awareness of incidents, investigations, and quality-of-care concerns

  • Assess and oversee the clinical needs of residents to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care


What We’re Looking For

  • Active New York State RN license (required)

  • Minimum 5 years of long-term care experience

  • At least 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience

  • Demonstrated strength in staff supervision, team leadership, and communication

  • Strong understanding of clinical operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance

  • Ability to lead with confidence while remaining approachable and collaborative
