About the Opportunity: A respected healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee clinical operations and lead a dedicated care team in a long-term care. This role is ideal for a compassionate, results-driven leader who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and fostering a culture of excellence.
Provide overall leadership and supervision of all nursing staff within the facility
Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations
Oversee the hiring, onboarding, development, and retention of nursing staff
Ensure appropriate staffing levels and ongoing competency of nursing personnel
Promote professional conduct, accountability, and a positive clinical culture
Maintain awareness of incidents, investigations, and quality-of-care concerns
Assess and oversee the clinical needs of residents to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care
Active New York State RN license (required)
Minimum 5 years of long-term care experience
At least 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
Demonstrated strength in staff supervision, team leadership, and communication
Strong understanding of clinical operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance
Ability to lead with confidence while remaining approachable and collaborative
Established leadership structure and clinical support
