Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter/Draftsman with experience in the glass and glazing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and submittal packages based on architectural plans and specifications. This role is critical to ensuring our fabrication and installation teams have accurate and timely drawings to deliver top-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation details for curtain wall, storefront, window wall, and other glazing systems

  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings and translate them into glazing system layouts

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and site conditions

  • Revise drawings based on redlines, client feedback, and field modifications

  • Assist with submittal packages and coordination drawings

  • Maintain drawing files and documentation in an organized and accessible format

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of drafting experience in the glass & glazing or façade industry

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit, Bluebeam, and other drafting software is a plus

  • Strong understanding of architectural plans, elevations, and section details

  • Knowledge of curtain wall, storefront, and related glass systems

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize work efficiently

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with aluminum framing systems such as Kawneer, YKK, EFCO, or similar

  • Familiarity with fabrication or field installation processes

  • Technical or Associate’s degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
