Construction Estimator
Location: Atlanta, GA
Company Overview:
A well-established and highly respected general contractor in the Atlanta market is seeking an Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team. Known for delivering ground-up projects across a wide range of commercial sectors, this contractor is committed to quality, collaboration, and innovation. Experience with data centers is considered a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate estimates for diverse ground-up commercial projects
Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to create detailed scopes of work
Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and vendor proposals
Collaborate with project management and operations teams to ensure complete and competitive bids
Assist with conceptual and schematic budgeting for clients
Provide value engineering insights and cost-saving alternatives
Maintain and refine historical cost data to improve accuracy and efficiency
Requirements:
3+ years of experience as an Estimator in commercial construction
Proven success with ground-up projects in markets such as healthcare, education, office, and mixed-use
Data center estimating experience is a strong advantage
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and subcontractor markets
Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
