Project Manager - Wastewater Infrastructure

Location: Akron, OH

Company Overview:
A highly respected heavy civil contractor in the Akron market is seeking a Project Manager with experience in wastewater and water treatment construction. This contractor is recognized for delivering municipal infrastructure projects such as wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and underground utilities, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and building projects that improve the community.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of wastewater and water treatment plant construction projects from preconstruction through closeout

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and documentation to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery

  • Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field staff to keep projects on track

  • Lead project meetings, prepare reports, and communicate progress to stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements

  • Proactively identify and resolve project issues to avoid schedule or cost impacts

  • Mentor and support project engineers, field supervisors, and other team members

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction

  • Strong background in wastewater or water treatment plant construction including pump stations, clarifiers, and piping systems

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple subcontractor trades

  • Familiarity with construction management software and documentation tools

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent field experience)
