Audit Manager

Location: Atlanta metro (Alpharetta), GA

Overview

A national CPA and consulting firm is seeking an Audit Manager for its Atlanta-area (Alpharetta, Georgia) office. This role manages audit and attest engagements and related GAAP consulting for clients in the renewable energy industry, supervising and mentoring supervisors, seniors and staff and developing client relationships. Remote and hybrid options are available.

Responsibilities

• Take primary responsibility for client engagements, including planning, staffing, timing and technical issues
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews
• Supervise and mentor supervisors, senior accountants and staff
• Complete annual performance evaluations for assigned staff
• Assist leadership with pursuing new clients
• Develop and grow client relationships through responsive, service-oriented work
• Increase office profitability by managing team time efficiently

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance; advanced degree a plus
• 5-8 years of public accounting experience; CPA strongly preferred
• Expert understanding of GAAP and U.S. auditing standards
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, prioritization and Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with renewable energy, oil and gas, utilities, real estate, affordable housing or tax credit programs helpful but not required
