Job Posting: Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate

Position: Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate (1–10 years)

Location: Orange County, CA (Los Angeles or San Diego office also possible) – Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Position Overview:

An established, nationally recognized law firm is adding several associates to its insurance coverage group, supporting its Orange County office. This is a great opportunity for litigators with 1–10 years of experience who want to build their practice in insurance coverage on a collaborative team. The role is hybrid, with 2–3 days a week in the office, and you can be based in the Orange County, Los Angeles or San Diego office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle insurance coverage matters, including analysis, coverage opinions and related litigation

- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery and briefs

- Take and defend depositions and manage discovery

- Work with partners and clients on case strategy

- Appear in court and support matters through resolution

Qualifications:

- 1–10 years of litigation experience (any litigation background considered)

- Active California Bar membership

- Strong research, writing and analytical skills

- Insurance coverage or insurance defense experience is a plus

- Ability to manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment

Benefits:

- Competitive salary range of $135K–$225K, depending on experience
