Civil Estimator – Brecksville, OH

A civil construction contractor is seeking a Civil Estimator with a background in paving or concrete. This opportunity is suited to an estimating professional with HCSS HeavyBid experience who can develop detailed, accurate project estimates.

Proposed Responsibilities*

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Use HCSS HeavyBid to develop and organize estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
• Identify scope gaps, project risks, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with project teams to support bid preparation and project handoff.

Qualifications

• Background in paving or concrete.
• HCSS HeavyBid experience required.

Additional Suggested Qualifications*

• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and cost-analysis skills.
• Clear communication with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams.
