Audit Manager - Manufacturing & Distribution

Location: Hartford, CT

Overview

A leading national middle-market professional services firm is seeking an Audit Manager for its industrial products assurance team in Hartford, Connecticut. Clients include local, national and internationally recognized manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate audits of financial statements, disclosures and other client deliverables
• Assess risk and design and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams
• Manage multiple engagement teams and supervise seniors and supervisors as in-charge
• Review work product and provide coaching and evaluations
• Maintain year-round client contact and assess the impact of significant business developments
• Manage project profitability and identify accounting and auditing matters for senior leadership
• Build external relationships to support business growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
• Active CPA license in state of residence
• 5+ years of current or recent public accounting experience
• 4+ years of team lead or in-charge experience on multiple engagements
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS and FASB or IFRS
• Willingness to travel about 25%
• Fluency in French, German, Japanese or Mandarin and experience with large non-U.S. companies operating in North America preferred
