Commercial Litigation Attorney (Houston)

About the Role:
A growing mid-size firm in the Houston/Galleria area is seeking a seasoned litigator to handle contract disputes, trade secret and intellectual property claims, employment disputes, and shareholder or partner conflicts.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to sharpen their trial skills, take ownership of cases, and grow within a firm that rewards initiative. The firm offers significant bonus potential—10% of all earned fees—with no minimum billable hour requirement, giving you real control over your compensation.   • Drafting pleadings and briefs on complex legal issues

  • Preparing discovery, research, and motion practice (Motions to Dismiss, Summary Judgment, etc.)

  • Appearing in court for hearings and trials

  • Leading depositions (fact and expert witnesses)

  • Participating in administrative hearings before state and federal agencies (e.g., OSHA, Texas Medical Board, CMS)

  • Leading mediations and evidentiary hearings

  • Collaborating on high-level litigation strategy and execution

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $150K+ depending on experience and billable hours
  • No Minimum Billable Hour Requirement
  • Lucrative Bonus Structure: 10% of all earned fees

Qualifications:

  • JD and active Texas Bar license

  • 5+ years of litigation experience

  • Extensive first-chair trial experience

  • Experience drafting TROs and attending TRO hearings

  • This is a fully in-office role in the Houston/Galleria area
