Field Service Technician in Geneva

Job Description

We are a leading industrial machinery manufacturer seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This customer-facing role requires experience with large machinery, mechanical drawings, and troubleshooting in industries like metal stamping, paper, or service centers along with PLC/HMI competence (Allen-Bradley, Haas).

Job Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and service steel coil processing equipment at customer sites
• Perform mechanical, PLC, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and address customer equipment issues
• Collaborate directly with setup teams, machine operators, and plant managers
• Travel approximately 60% of the year, home on weekends
• Work an average of 56 hours per week, with overtime built into the schedule
• Participate in hands-on, work-with training alongside experienced technicians

Job Qualifications

• Experience working with large industrial machinery; knowledge of Allen-Bradley and Haas equipment is a plus
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, hydraulics, and PLC systems
• Prior experience in related industries such as metal stamping, paper processing, tooling, or service centers
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
• Willingness to travel frequently and work overtime
• Candidates must be reliable, hands-on, and team-oriented
