Employment: Full-Time | Onsite

Lead the Maintenance Operation. Improve Reliability. Build the Team.

gpac is partnering with an established food manufacturer seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead plant maintenance operations at its Northvale, NJ facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance leader who understands production equipment, industrial automation, electrical/electronic systems, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability and enjoys developing technicians while working closely with Operations and Engineering.

The Maintenance Manager will play a key role in keeping production running safely and efficiently while driving improvements in equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and maintenance performance.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, train, and develop the plant maintenance team.
  • Manage daily maintenance activities, work assignments, shop resources, and priorities.
  • Oversee maintenance, repair, installation, and startup of production and facility equipment.
  • Partner with Production, Operations, and Engineering to maximize equipment uptime and achieve production goals.
  • Execute and continuously improve the preventive maintenance program.
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, and Equipment Reliability.
  • Drive effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) following equipment failures and recurring issues.
  • Support full utilization of the CMMS, including accurate work orders and maintenance documentation.
  • Coordinate outside contractors for equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Develop strong relationships with OEMs and equipment/service vendors.
  • Maintain critical spare-parts inventory and appropriate min/max inventory levels.
  • Lead daily maintenance follow-ups and improve communication between shifts.
  • Generate end-of-shift maintenance reports.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of maintenance technicians.
  • Ensure maintenance work complies with GMP, sanitation, food-safety, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
  • Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safe maintenance practices.
  • Respond to emergency equipment failures, facility issues, and major breakdowns as required.
