Job Posting: Associate Attorney - Family Law

Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of family law matters, including but not limited to:
- Divorce (dissolution of marriage)
- Child custody and visitation (allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time)
- Child support
- Maintenance (alimony)
- Property division
- Orders of Protection
- Adoption
- Post-decree modifications and enforcement
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Attend court hearings, mediations, and depositions.
- Independently manage all aspects of litigation, from initial client intake through final resolution.
- Conduct trials and present evidence effectively in court.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on case strategy and development.
- Stay current on developments in Illinois family law.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Illinois Bar is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing family law.
- Demonstrated trial experience in family law matters is strongly preferred.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
