Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a vital member of the Transactional team, responsible for a broad range of real estate and business matters, including:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases (office, retail, industrial), financing documents, and joint venture agreements.
  • Conducting thorough due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning analysis, and environmental assessment for commercial property acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Managing and facilitating all aspects of the transaction closing process.
  • Advising clients on land use, zoning, and regulatory compliance issues related to development and property management.
  • Collaborating with the construction and business practice groups on multi-faceted transactions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and good standing with the Washington State Bar 
  • 2 to 7 years of dedicated experience practicing transactional real estate law at a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting and negotiating commercial real estate and/or corporate transaction documents.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • A proactive, client-focused work ethic and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
