Our client is a small machine job shop that handles the aerospace industry and specializes in producing precision parts for the aerospace and power generation gas turbine industries. With a focus on tight tolerances and high-quality manufacturing, our client is known for taking on difficult-to-manufacture, complex, and precise parts. As a CNC Machinist / Programmer, you will play a crucial role in the production process, working closely with a tight-knit team to ensure the timely and precise manufacturing of parts.
Responsibilities:
- Identify tooling needs and select appropriate tooling for each job
- Setup jobs and perform necessary programming for CNC Lathe and/or CNC Mill
- Operate CNC Lathe and/or CNC Mill to produce precision parts
- Conduct thorough parts inspection to ensure adherence to tight tolerances
- Collaborate with team members and follow instructions effectively
- Provide constructive input and offer opinions on manufacturing approaches

Skills:
- Proficiency in programming and operating CNC Lathe and/or CNC Mill
- Experience with job setup, tooling selection, and parts inspection
- Knowledge of machining tougher materials such as Nickel-based alloys and stainless steel
- Familiarity with Mastercam software is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
