Job Snapshot

Job Description

Commercial Lines Account Manager

$90,000–$120,000

We’re working with a growing, privately held insurance organization that is expanding its presence throughout the Northeast and is looking to add an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to the team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with large, complex commercial accounts, building strong client relationships, and taking ownership of the day-to-day management of sophisticated insurance programs.

You’ll work directly with clients and key decision-makers while partnering closely with producers, carriers, underwriters, and internal teams to make sure accounts are handled thoughtfully and efficiently from renewal through ongoing servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and serve as a trusted insurance resource.

  • Manage a portfolio of large and complex Commercial Lines accounts while serving as a primary point of contact.

  • Review client exposures, coverage, limits, deductibles, and overall program structure and make recommendations when appropriate.

  • Prepare new business and renewal applications and coordinate thorough marketing submissions.

  • Develop client proposals, renewal presentations, and coverage comparisons.

  • Oversee day-to-day account servicing, including endorsements, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), invoices, policy changes, and other transactions.

  • Work closely with carriers and underwriters to negotiate terms, secure competitive coverage, and resolve account issues.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners and key markets.

  • Participate in client renewal meetings and contribute to renewal strategy and presentations.

  • Coordinate with producers, clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure account strategies are executed smoothly.

  • Look for opportunities to identify coverage gaps, improve service, and add value to the overall client relationship.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience.

  • Experience managing large, complex commercial accounts.

  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Property & Casualty coverages, markets, and policy structures.

  • Comfortable working directly with sophisticated clients and key decision-makers.

  • Solid understanding of the commercial insurance renewal and marketing process.

  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex accounts and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of client service.

  • Collaborative, detail-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills.

What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out

  • Growing, privately held organization with an expanding presence throughout the Northeast.

  • Large, sophisticated accounts that offer the opportunity to work on meaningful and complex insurance programs.

  • Real ownership of client relationships and account strategy rather than simply handling transactions.

  • Career growth potential as the organization continues to expand its regional platform.

  • Training and development designed to support your long-term growth within the organization.

  • An opportunity to join a company that is actively building and growing, where experienced insurance professionals can have a direct impact.
