Job Description

A reputable NYC firm that embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship, led by a team of seasoned legal professionals is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate with substantive litigation experience, with a strong background in commercial litigation, foreclosure actions, and electronic discovery (e-discovery). You will be expected to play a key role in all phases of litigation, from inception through resolution, including handling complex motion practice, managing discovery (including ESI protocols), conducting and defending depositions, and preparing for trial. This unique blend of legal and business understanding enables us to provide insights that are both commercially and legally sound. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation and foreclosure matters in state and federal courts
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery-related documents with precision and clarity
  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
  • Handle all aspects of electronic discovery, including collection, review, and production of ESI
  • Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and pretrial strategy sessions
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic guidance to clients across industries
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas in a team-oriented environment

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of litigation experience
  • Hands-on experience with electronic discovery tools and processes
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and time management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters and work independently
  • Admission to the New York Bar is required; New Jersey Bar admission is a plus

Job Type: Full-time/Hybrid         

Pay: $190,000.00 – $240,000.00 per year
