Job Overview

Accounting Administrator Responsibilities & Duties
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Oversee payroll administration
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial planning
  • Administer month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Monitor and manage cash flow and expenditures
  • Handle discrepancies and resolve billing issues
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers
  • Implement and improve accounting systems and processes
  • Prepare tax filings and ensure timely submissions
  • Support senior management with financial analysis and forecasting

Accounting Administrator Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in managing payroll processes
  • Familiarity with tax laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proven track record of improving financial processes
  • Experience in financial audits and compliance
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis
