Senior Defense Litigation Attorney in Bloomington

Job Description

Position: Detail-oriented defense litigation attorney with extensive litigation experience. This position needs to be filled by someone seeking partner track. 

• Litigation Management: Draft and respond to substantive pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
• Advocacy: Attend and chair hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Strategy: Conduct thorough legal research and develop effective defense strategies to mitigate client risk.
• Collaboration: Communicate effectively with claims adjusters, underwriters, and policyholders regarding case status and evaluations. 

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensing: Active membership in the Indiana State Bar and in good standing.
• Experience: 4 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or personal injury.
• Skills: Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw/LexisNexis) and case management software.
