Job Description

One of our top clients is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Staff Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Chicago, IL. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to complex structural engineering projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead structural engineering design and analysis for a variety of projects, including high-rise buildings, commercial, industrial, and residential structures.
  • Conduct complex structural calculations and modeling.
  • Prepare detailed structural drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, clients, and contractors.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers.
  • Oversee project timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis.
  • 3-4 years of professional structural engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, ETABS).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois.
  • Experience with specific building types (e.g., healthcare, education, high-rise).
  • LEED accreditation.
