Position Overview:

The Director of Sales will play a pivotal role in driving growth strategies, expanding market reach, and increasing national presence. This position requires a visionary leader with a successful background in sales, strong strategic planning skills, and a results-oriented mindset. The role involves building a high-performing sales organization and executing initiatives aligned with ambitious growth objectives. A deep understanding of construction/remodeling or related industries, combined with expertise in developing and managing effective sales teams, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy focused on achieving significant national growth and market expansion.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed ambitious revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, distributors, and key accounts across various regions.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to align on growth strategies and messaging.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics to assess sales effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
  • Prepare and present regular updates on sales performance and strategic initiatives to executive leadership.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and conferences to build relationships and increase brand visibility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within building materials, manufacturing, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated success in driving aggressive sales growth and implementing national expansion strategies.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with the capacity to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze market trends and make informed strategic decisions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to support growth initiatives and meet with clients.
