Quality Assurance/Sanitation Manager in Rockford

Job Description

gpac is working with a client company who is seeking a Quality Assurance/Sanitation Manager for a food manufacturing facility in Wisconsin near Madison! This company has been in business for 40 years and are growing significantly, adding a new position.  They are looking for someone with Quality Assurance management experience as well as sanitation experience, and able to oversee 2 plants in town. This position is ideal for someone who prefers to manage from the floor, not an office, and enjoys mentoring personnel.

The ideal candidate holds:

• 3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
• Computer skills, analytical, equipment and food-processing equipment knowledge.
• Knowledge of quality control processes related to the food-processing industry.
• Knowledge of quality process control and HACCP, SSOP and SOP.
• Knowledge of USDA and FDA standards.
• Experience with audits 
• Good organizational and communication skills both verbally and written.
• Familiarity with organic, Kosher and Halal preferred
• PCQI certification preferred
• Food science background preferred
• Familiarity with inventory systems (DSI preferred)
• Familiarity with Capa forms
