Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Structural Steel
osition Overview:
A leading structural steel fabrication and erection company, partnered with gpac, is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex steel projects from inception to closeout. This is a key leadership position ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment and is passionate about structural steel.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead structural steel projects from award through final closeout, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule targets are met
Coordinate with detailing, fabrication, erection, engineering, and field crews
Serve as the primary client contact for all project communications, meetings, and updates
Manage project budgets, forecasting, change orders, and billing
Oversee scheduling of shop production and field erection activities
Review submittals, RFIs, drawings, and site conditions for accuracy and compliance
Support field crews with coordination, logistics, and issue resolution
Lead project meetings, site visits, and progress reports with internal and external stakeholders
Ensure safety, quality, and contractual requirements are upheld throughout the project
Qualifications:
5+ years of project management experience specifically in structural steel fabrication and erection
Deep understanding of steel shop drawing review, connection design coordination, fabrication, and erection sequencing
Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings
Strong understanding of AISC standards and construction project workflows
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Experience with project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar
