Job Description

Employment Law Attorney – California (Wage & Hour, PAGA, and Class Action Experience)

GPAC is partnering with a client firm seeking an experienced Employment Law Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join a highly respected legal team. This role focuses on defending complex employment law cases, with a strong emphasis on wage and hour disputes, PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) claims, and class action litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all phases of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, reviewing and propounding discovery, case management, and presenting arguments at hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Defending wage and hour claims, including class and collective actions.
  • Advising clients on compliance with California labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Collaborating within a dynamic and diverse legal team to deliver optimal outcomes for clients.

Qualifications:

  • A strong academic record with exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • At least two years of private law firm experience, with demonstrated expertise in wage and hour disputes, PAGA claims, and class action litigation.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Trial and trial preparation experience, with an ability to manage complex litigation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases in a deadline-driven environment.
  • California bar admission required.
