Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Steel Millwright Estimator/Project Manager to lead steel-focused projects from initial estimation to successful completion. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in millwright operations, complemented by exceptional project management and estimating capabilities, to ensure the flawless execution of industrial and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop precise cost estimates for steel and millwright-related projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Review blueprints, engineering drawings, and project specifications to prepare detailed bid proposals.
- Plan, schedule, and manage all phases of steel-focused projects, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to align on project goals and expectations.
- Oversee on-site operations, including the installation and maintenance of steel structures and equipment.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and compliance with industry standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular progress updates and addressing concerns.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in steel-focused millwright work, project management, or estimating.
- In-depth knowledge of steel fabrication, equipment installation, and maintenance processes.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and engineering documentation.
- Proven expertise in cost estimation and bid preparation for industrial construction projects.
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling, resource management, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency with software such as Procore, AutoCAD, MS Project, and Excel.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination abilities.
