Our client, a well-established law firm in Indianapolis, is seeking an experienced and motivated Litigation Attorney to join their growing defense team. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney with a strong desire to expand their practice, contribute to the firm’s growth, and manage a variety of legal matters across both state and federal courts in Indiana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in active litigation matters before Indiana state and federal courts
- Manage all phases of litigation, from pre-trial to post-trial motions and hearings
- Develop case strategies, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
- Engage in effective legal research and provide sound legal advice to clients
- Cultivate relationships with existing clients while actively growing a client base
- Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and firm initiatives
- Continuously pursue professional development and stay current on relevant legal trends and changes in the law
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience representing clients in legal matters, with a focus on litigation
- Proven experience handling active litigation in Indiana state and/or federal courts
- In-depth knowledge of Indiana Trial Rules and court procedures
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively work with clients, staff, and external parties
- J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
- Member in good standing and active in the Indiana Bar
- A genuine interest in growing your practice and client base within the firm’s expanding portfolio
