Attorney – Commercial Litigation Associate
Location: Nashville, TN
A leading firm in Nashville is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Associate to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney with 3–5 years of experience, strong academic credentials, and prior experience at a Law firm or other respected practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage commercial litigation matters from case inception through resolution
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests and responses
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation strategies
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
• Provide guidance to junior associates and staff as needed
Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top law school
• Admission to the Tennessee Bar (or ability to waive in)
• 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience
• Prior experience at an AM Law firm or comparable litigation practice strongly preferred
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong advocacy skills with the ability to handle cases independently and in teams
• Professional demeanor and proven ability to manage client relationships
