Summary
Performs advanced cost accounting analyses, prepares various reports, and prepares budget reports concerning Operations and Corporate Functions.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
· Adhere to and ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS practices.
· Responsible for all SOX compliance, regulations and ensure continuous efficiency improvement per SOX.
· Support current Internal Control environment to ensure that accounting records are accurate and compliant with GAAP & IFRS.
· Support the entries and maintenance of the general ledger by ensuring the proper, accurate, and timely recording of transactions per GAAP/IFRS and Company policies.
· Consolidating financial data for forecasts, corporate reporting, and monthly reporting, including the development and maintenance of financial models to consolidate analytical data quickly and accurately.
· Responsible for ad-hoc financial planning, forecasting, and other management reporting functions.
· Actively collaborating with the IT team and the finance team to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data.
· Analyze costing and inventory data to provide management recommendations and action plans to drive cost reductions and improve productivity.
· Analyze data discrepancies and work with management to implement changes when needed to improve processes.
· Analyze gross margin results, correct anomalies, identify trends and communicate findings.
· Responsible for all ad-hoc variance reporting, including variance forecasts, standard costs, trends, root causes, and Key Performance Indicator files, and making recommendations to management.
· Responsible for ensuring inventory auditing and program integrity.
· Assist with the identification and execution of productivity initiatives.
· Assist with the coordination and deliverables for quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by auditors.
· Assisting as a financial resource to the operational and management team in other accounting projects and period-end activities
· Assists in preparing tax schedules.
· Collect, analyze, evaluate, and present data about the company’s financial performance.
· Conducts capital budgeting reviews, complex costs analyses, and cost audits.
· Prepares documents for budget and forecasting process resulting in accurate, robust, and timely submissions.
· Develop and maintain performance metrics for material costs and establish material and labor standards with Operations.
· Developing in-depth five-year product cost projections for current and next-generation products, including variance analysis and What-if scenario planning.
· Continually review and monitor accounting practices to ensure actual results are accurate and compliant.
· The financial resource to the operational and management team in other accounting projects and period-end activities.
· Ensures Financial accurately reflects current assets and liabilities.
· Manage product costing, analyze and prepare annual raw material and standard cost roll-up as part of the annual budgeting process.
· Perform monthly closing activities.
· Work with CFO on cost issues, analytics, reporting, and improvements.
· Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Presently, this position is responsible for supervision of one Cost Accountant.

Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management from a four-year college or university plus 3 to 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
