Certified Automotive Technician
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Automotive Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of vehicles while delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where quality and efficiency are a top priority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on all types of vehicles (foreign and domestic).
- Conduct routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake jobs, battery replacements, etc.
- Use diagnostic tools and OEM software to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Communicate with service advisors about vehicle issues, repair timelines, and required parts.
- Complete repair orders thoroughly, documenting work performed and parts used.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Stay up to date on the latest automotive technologies and manufacturer updates.
- Ensure all work meets dealership, industry, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- ASE Certification or equivalent automotive technician certification required.
- High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational school preferred.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in automotive repair.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, HVAC, etc.).
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scanners, and repair software.
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturer-specific certifications (Ford, GM,CDJR).
- Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles.
- State inspection license (if applicable in your state).
