Certified Automotive Technician

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Automotive Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of vehicles while delivering exceptional service and ensuring customer satisfaction. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where quality and efficiency are a top priority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on all types of vehicles (foreign and domestic).
  • Conduct routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake jobs, battery replacements, etc.
  • Use diagnostic tools and OEM software to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
  • Communicate with service advisors about vehicle issues, repair timelines, and required parts.
  • Complete repair orders thoroughly, documenting work performed and parts used.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Stay up to date on the latest automotive technologies and manufacturer updates.
  • Ensure all work meets dealership, industry, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • ASE Certification or equivalent automotive technician certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational school preferred.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in automotive repair.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, HVAC, etc.).
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scanners, and repair software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturer-specific certifications (Ford, GM,CDJR).
  • Experience with hybrid or electric vehicles.
  • State inspection license (if applicable in your state).
