Civil Litigation Attorney – Columbia, SC

Senior, Special Counsel, or Partner Level

Hybrid or Remote (Candidate must reside in South Carolina)

Highly respected firm seeking candidates with experience defending civil litigation claims with preference given for handling matters in the areas of construction litigation, products liability, professional liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation.  Candidate must have strong and demonstrated experience handling cases through trials and arbitrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and litigate a wide variety of civil cases, including all phases from pleadings to trial.
  • Develop strategies, draft motions, conduct depositions, and appear in court on behalf of clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented, non-hierarchical environment.
  • Deliver strong client service through clear communication and advocacy.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years minimum of civil litigation experience, ideally with significant courtroom exposure. Experience in defending civil litigation claims with preference given for handling matters in the areas of construction litigation, products liability, professional liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation.  
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
  • Licensed to practice in South Carolina
