We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / CNC Milling Process Technician to join our precision metals CNC shop. This role involves operating CNC horizontal and vertical milling machines, interpreting blueprints, selecting tooling and fixturing, estimating cycle times, and programming/setup of new parts. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality machining.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including horizontal and vertical mills, to produce high-precision components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate machining.
• Program and set up CNC milling machines, determining cycle times, tooling, and fixturing requirements.
• Optimize CNC machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and precision.
• Perform first-piece inspections and maintain strict quality control standards throughout production.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance CNC milling processes and ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety and quality protocols.
• Document best practices for CNC milling machine setups to ensure repeatability and process improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience, specializing in CNC milling operations.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and machining specifications.
• Experience in cycle time estimation, tooling selection, and fixturing for new part setups.
• Proficiency in CNC programming and G-code editing.
• Mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-axis CNC machining.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process optimization.
• Prior experience working in an ISO-certified CNC environment.
