Job Description

A respected firm in White Plains is seeking two Associate Attorneys to join its growing team. These roles are ideal for attorneys with defense litigation backgrounds who want to focus on insurance defense. The firm offers a supportive hybrid work environment, competitive compensation, and strong opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Handle a range of defense litigation matters including insurance defense.
• Manage case files from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions
• Conduct depositions, hearings, and court appearances
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop effective strategies
• Assist with trial preparation and litigation support

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the New York State Bar
• 3+ years of defense litigation experience, with a preference for insurance defense and related practice areas
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases while meeting deadlines and billable requirements
• Team-oriented and motivated to grow within a supportive practice

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $120,000 to $190,000 depending on experience
• Discretionary bonus opportunities
