Job Title: Structural Steel Detailer
Overview:
We are seeking a Structural Steel Detailer with experience using SDS2 or Tekla to produce accurate shop and erection drawings for steel fabrication projects. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, understands steel construction practices, and can work closely with project teams to ensure clear, accurate deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Create 3D models, shop drawings, and erection plans using SDS2 or Tekla
Interpret structural and architectural drawings to produce accurate details
Generate material lists, bolt summaries, and fabrication reports
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to resolve design issues
Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements
Update models and drawings as revisions occur throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications:
Proficiency in SDS2 or Tekla Structures
Experience detailing structural steel for fabrication and erection
Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering drawings
Strong accuracy, organization, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of AISC standards
