Senior Purchasing Manager
Location: Austin, Texas

Summary:
The Senior Purchasing Manager will lead the procurement and contracting process, manage vendor relationships, and oversee budgeting and estimating efforts. Reporting to the VP of Purchasing, this role focuses on optimizing costs, ensuring project efficiency, and supporting the company’s high-quality production of residential communities.

Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships, address performance issues, and mediate conflicts.
• Bidding & Negotiation: Solicit and analyze bids, manage vendor assignments, and negotiate terms for cost control.
• Contracting: Oversee contracts, scopes of work, and insurance requirements.
• Budgeting: Develop accurate budgets, perform take-offs, and administer digital tools like BuildPro/SupplyPro.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze budgets, track performance, and implement cost-saving measures.
• National Accounts: Manage rebates and negotiate pricing for materials.
• Plan Development: Align community specifications with zoning, HOA, and utility requirements.
• Team Leadership: Mentor estimating teams and coordinate community launches.

Qualifications:

• Experience in residential construction purchasing.
• Proficient in project management and procurement software.
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
